THE FISKERTON LIGHT RAILWAY |
The undoubted star of the show was Matt Acton's "first in the UK" Roundhouse Leek & Manifold loco, which he'd collected on the Friday before the meeting. It did, of course, haul a prototypical train........... Steve Acton had an TR train............ ........... hauled by his model of No 1, still on trial. We had an Accucraft "JOAN" (or, as we say in Derbyshire, JO-UN" Matt got a little damp as he was firing up when we had a heavy shower or two. The MDLR brought its 4 car passenger rake.......... .............. which hasn't been out much this year. Roger Coleman prepares his un-named "Jack". We didn't have leaves on the line.............. .............. they even rode, Indian-style, on the coach roof! Roger's freight train............. ............... running well. It's interesting to compare what should be two identical locos - there are a good number of subtle differences. Matt's finger got sore holding the regulator open - it's already doing 40 minute runs............. The TR train ventures out again............... ............... whilst the "Joan" rests after its run. Matt's done some detailing on his "Kitten"............... ............... with a lunch bag on the cab back............. ............... and a mash can and tool box on the tank top. Steve watches his train.............. ............... whilst our host and Roger give the "Joan" a good going over. Finally, a Russell in a rather unusual livery. |
