NIGEL TOWN'S LINE IN ALLESTREE

 

This is what greets you as you arrive at Nigel's line...........  

... which is a more-or-less level line in a sloping garden.

 

The line is a (very) folded dog-bone - this is the view of one of the loops from the steaming-up area.................  

....... and from the top of the garden.

 

Having passed through Woody Bay station, the line goes "off stage" (indicated by the trellis)............

 

.......... across the top of the garden ..............

 

.......... down the side of the greenhouse .............

 

........ round the "off stage" section of the other loop........

 

....... and back into view and over the waterfall.
